This Health fair will be a University powered 3-day weekend before and after midterm and finals. These programs will concentrate around classes relevant to different levels of exercise, dance, meditation classes, etc., as well as booths that will have healthy snacks, information regarding healthy behavior, etc. Furthermore, physical activity classes such as dance, Zumba, yoga, meditation, etc. should be offered at various times of the day. To help promote and bring more participation classes can be offered alongside animals such as dogs, cats goats, etc. The university already has multiple exercise classes but the timing will be expanded as well as more promotion regarding what other programs they carry.
This intervention can students create an exercise regime that will individually work for them around their own time, disrupting the barriers that didn’t allow them to participate in physical activity. Students will see physical and psychological benefits as they continue the process, it’s important to stay consistent. Whatever the motivators may be such as an outlet for stress, losing weight or staying healthy, the programs will be a great way to reach those goals.
